Chiangmai, which is a former capital of the Kingdom Lanna, is the largest and most culturally significant city in northern Thailand. Dubbed as the Rose of the North, Chiangmai’s distinctive charm is unrivalled. Centuries-old temples abound and the moat and defensive wall that protected the city since its founding still stand today. Not forgetting its surrounding mountains and lush countryside as well as its friendly locals and indigenous people, all these add on to the old world charm of Chiangmai.

In the south of Chiangmai lies Sukhothai, a small city known as the Dawn of Happiness. It is the capital of the first Siam kingdom and is most famous for its ruins of the ancient city. Loy Krathong, a very popular festival of Thailand, was originated from here.

Come November, join the locals in the festivities of Yi Peng Festival and Loy Krathong. We will be caught in the festive mood of thousands of sky lanterns being released into the sky during Yi Peng as well as release thousands of krathongs into the river at Sukhothai during Loy Krathong. To top it off, there will be a Yi Peng as well as Krathong Procession in Chiangmai and Sukhothai respectively with elaborate parade floats sashaying by.

Hesitate no more and join in the fun, be at the right place at the right time in November!
