Nepal, a tiny mountain nation, wedged between the high wall of the Himalaya and the steamy jungles of the Indian plains, is a land of snow peaks and Sherpas, yaks and yetis, monasteries and mantras. Every year, thrones of travelers are drawn to its mystical allure and Nepal offers an astonishingly diverse array of attractions and landscapes.

On 25 April 2015, a major earthquake occurred in Nepal, killing more than 9,000 people and injured more than 23,000. A second major earthquake on 12 May 2015 worsened the situation. Hundreds of thousands of people were made homeless with entire villages flattened. Schools were destroyed and children have no proper environment to study.

Together with Operation Rejoice, 10,000 Miles is bringing you to volunteer your time and effort to the schools that Operation Rejoice is assisting to rebuild. Spend your time with the lovely children of the Himalayas and you are guaranteed to gain more than what you give. Join us in this rewarding journey and spread your love.
